Case Study

552 visits in three months.

Blackstone Chauffeur sells luxury vehicles, trained drivers and concierge service. The problem was never the service. It was that almost nobody arrived at the website to find out.

The Audit

A premium offer with no discovery layer.

Between December 2025 and February 2026 the site drew roughly 552 visits. Thirty-two came from referrals, fourteen from social. Visitors who did arrive looked at 2.37 pages and stayed one minute twenty-seven — engaged enough to be interested, not long enough to enquire.

In premium and B2B travel the buyer compares three or four providers through search, reviews and websites before contacting anyone. Blackstone was rarely in that comparison set, and when it was, the enquiry path asked too much of the visitor.

The Numbers

Where the traffic came from, and where the money goes.

Two datasets, plotted as they are. Everything else on this page is a target, and labelled as one.

Traffic by source, Dec 2025 – Feb 2026

Referral and social contribute a fraction of an already small total. The site depends almost entirely on people who already know the brand name.

How this was measured

Similarweb estimate. Confidence is low at this traffic volume.

The Read

Two people book one car.

The persona work turned up the thing that reshaped the campaign. In premium business travel the person who rides is often not the person who books. James Walker, the executive, cares about punctuality, discretion and comfort. Sarah Mitchell, the executive assistant arranging his travel, cares about confirmation speed, clear communication and not being blamed if the car is late.

Those are different anxieties and they need different pages. A landing page written to impress the passenger will not reassure the coordinator, and the coordinator is the one filling in the form. Every CRO decision downstream came from that split.

The passenger is the audience. The assistant is the customer.
The Benchmark

Two competitors, two different lessons.

Chosen because they bracket the problem — one global digital benchmark, one local trust benchmark.

The Build

Two components, four artefacts.

The campaign runs on two components. SEO and content marketing to be found — service and location keywords like executive chauffeur Auckland and airport transfer Auckland, worked through metadata, headings, structured data and Google Business Profile, with destination landing pages and blog content behind them.

CRO and retargeting to convert — a shorter enquiry form, clearer calls to action, mobile-first layout, visible reviews and service guarantees, then Google Display and Meta remarketing segmented by intent so an airport-transfer visitor sees an airport-transfer ad.

I built the artefacts rather than describing them: an on-page SEO mock-up, a blog template, a before-and-after enquiry form, a mobile enquiry page, retargeting creative, and a QR business card linking print to a trackable landing page.

Two Rooms

The same campaign, argued two ways.

What the client needs to hear, and what actually has to be built.

You are invisible at the moment of choice.

The version for the room with the budget in it. It leads with the gap, not the tactics, and closes on a single number the client can hold you to.

  • The service is not the problem — 2.37 pages per visit says interested visitors arrive and leave
  • Competitors are winning on discoverability and booking ease, not on quality
  • NZ$30,000 over six months, weighted to search foundations that keep paying after the campaign ends
  • One headline commitment: 50% more monthly enquiries and bookings
The Structure

Every tactic sits somewhere on the funnel.

Mapped so each KPI answers for a specific stage rather than floating free.

The Artefacts

Built, not described.

Six mock-ups produced in Figma so the proposal could be seen rather than imagined.

Why this framework

To show exactly where keywords land rather than asserting that they would.

What it revealed

The existing page had no H1 carrying a service or location term — the single cheapest fix in the whole campaign.

Why this framework

To prove the content plan could hold a real article, not just a topic list.

What it revealed

Corporate travel topics naturally pull in the coordinator persona, who is otherwise hard to reach through service-page SEO.

Why this framework

To make the friction visible rather than arguing about it.

What it revealed

Most of the drop-off risk sat in field count and unclear next steps, not in page design.

Why this framework

Because airport transfer intent is overwhelmingly mobile and often last-minute.

What it revealed

The desktop form assumptions broke entirely at 375px, which no amount of traffic would have fixed.

Why this framework

To test whether intent segmentation could survive contact with actual ad dimensions.

What it revealed

Airport, corporate and wedding intents need genuinely separate creative — one premium message covering all three says nothing to any of them.

Why this framework

To close the loop between offline networking and trackable online enquiry.

What it revealed

Hotel concierge and event handouts are Blackstone's strongest existing channel and were entirely unmeasured.

Honestly

What I'd want before running this.

The audit rests on Similarweb, and Similarweb is unreliable at this traffic volume. I treated 552 visits as directional and said so, but a real engagement starts by getting Search Console and GA4 access from the client. Every number on this page would be firmer and some conclusions might change.

The 50% target was set against a low baseline, which makes it easier to hit and less meaningful than it sounds. If I ran this again I would commit to an absolute number of monthly enquiries rather than a percentage, because a percentage on a small base flatters the marketer more than it serves the client.
